Evaluation of the AN/WQM-4 Sonar Test Set Manufactured by Daven Co., Livingston, N. J.,

Abstract

An evaluation was made by the Underwater Sound Laboratory of the AN/WQM-4 Sonar Test Set. The set consists of a signal generator, oscilloscope, mounting rack, switching unit, and transducers with associated cables to cover the 2.5 to 160 kc band in two ranges. The set is intended to check the receiving sensitivity, system self noise, intensity of transmitted signal, system output frequency, and the range accuracy of sonar systems.
