An Open-Ocean Fouling Experiment.

Abstract

Long-term open-ocean fouling of submarine radomes can produce conditions on the radome surface inimical to radio transmission. It recommended measurements further confirm this finding, development should be undertaken of a means of protecting the radome against the effects of fouling or of quickly cleaning the fouled surface under operational conditions at sea.
