New Techniques for the Synthesis of Metals and Alloys

Abstract

The report describes: (1) Preparation of Nickel foil by the high rate physical vapor deposition (HRPVD) techniques and evaluation of its properties; and, (2) Experiments on high rate deposition of Y2O3, TiC, Si3N4 by direct evaporation and of Y2O3 and Si3N4 by reactive evaporation and activated reactive evaporation.
