Development of a Discrete Address Beacon System.

Abstract

Covered in the report are the results to date from, and status of: DABS link design modulation, coding and interference studies; transponder design/cost studies; ATCRBS transponder tests; transponder antenna/airframe pattern measurements; sensor monopulse antenna-processor studies; system studies covering antenna siting, rotating antenna traffic capability, hybrid interrogation scheduling, data link message transfer reliability and suggested DABS prototype field tests. Concluding the report is a description of the DABS Experimental Facility hardware, software, and implementation status. (Author)
