Time Responses of Radiation of an Iodine Laser with Q-Factor Modulation,

Abstract

An analysis of the characteristics of an iodine laser with modulated Q-factor has been carried out in a number of works. However, very little attention was paid to the study of time responses of laser radiation in these works. Only the complexity of the time picture and the average duration of individual giant pulses were mentioned. In the report, experimental data are given from studies of time responses of radiation of an iodine laser with Q-factor modulation and their dependence on certain laser parameters.
