The Structure and Properties of Polymeric and Macromolecular Materials.

Abstract

Principal lines of research actively pursued during the period of the author's grant are as follows: General theory of polymer chain configuration; Optical properties of polymer chains; Small angle-X-ray scattering by chain molecules; and Properties of vinyl polymers in relation to molecular structure. Results and complete details of the investigations carried out in these four areas are given in 22 papers completed for publication during the period of this grant. The main accomplishments are described in the body of the report. Bibliographies of papers published are included there as well. (Author Modified Abstract)
