Hydraulic Hose Specification Study. Annual Report, Section IV.

Abstract

The purpose of the Hydraulic Specification Program is to develop industrially acceptable test procedures and requirement specifications relative to the performance of hydraulic components and systems to facilitate the military's 'buy commercial' approach. Although the program has been aimed toward components and systems for future 3000 psi operating pressure levels, it was intended that the test procedures be applicable to any pressure level. The report presents a detailed account of the specification development program for hydraulic hoses. The general method is described as well as the specific problems encountered and their solution. The report covers all activity to the hose program to, but not including, the verification testing. (Author)
