Naylor Transforms of Mellin Type and Applications.

Abstract

Some integral transforms introduced by Naylor (1963) are characterized and studied in terms of Mellin transforms. This facilitates the derivation and analysis of transform properties. The transforms are applied to steady-state heat problems in finite circular sectors (polar coordinates) and in finite spherical cones (spherical coordinates). It is shown that the transforms of polar coordinate type are applicable to the biharmonic equation and to stress boundary-value problems for finite wedges. (Author Modified Abstract)
