The Properties of Black-and-White Photographic Films,

Abstract

Information of the report is in four parts. The first part contains general reference data on the spectral distribution of energy in the radiation of several light sources, on the construction and spectral absorption of sensitometric light filters, the spectral absorption of typical photographic lenses and the spectral reflectivity of several classes of typical natural objects. The second part contains results of studies of the properties of 34 Soviet films produced by various foreign companies. The third part contains suggestions by the authors on the spectro-sensitometric classification of the photographic films. The fourth part contains the appendix, tables for calculating the monochromatic components of blackbody radiation energy for any temperatures and wavelengths. (Author Modified Abstract)
