Application of the Penalty Cost Model at Non-UADPS Activities and Repairable Item,

Abstract

The application of PCM(Penalty Cost Model) to locally managed items at UADPS(Uniform Automated Data Processing System) activities was highly successful. Consequently, NAVSUP directed FMSO to test the application of PCM to non-UADPS activities and repairable items. The report evaluates these two applications at NAS Oceana. The test results produced a lower inventory workload, higher net requisition effectiveness, and decreased inventory error rates. (Author)
