TEAL WING OWR (Over Water Research) Program
Abstract
Progress, to date of report, consists primarily of preparation of equipment and procedures for collecting and processing data as to broadband atmospheric noise in the upper MF-lower HF portion of the frequency spectrum. (Progress on two other tasks of later scheduling not stressed.) Some equipment details and photographs are included. Equipment was readied for shipboard measurements in the North Atlantic in early April, late June and in winter circumstances. Processing is to be done off-line from taped digital data. Both omnidirectional and limited directional (azimuthal statistics) data will be collected. Radiometer techniques are used in the latter.
