Shock-Associated Electrical Responses in Plate Capacitors.

Abstract

A theory is presented to show that when a plane shock wave passes through a plate capacitor, the effect of shock on the Fermi energy level of one of the metallic electrodes can trigger an electrical response of the capacitor. The response may be large if a combination of factors is faborable. (Author)
