Results of Studies on the Effects of Hydrostatic Pressure on Living Aquatic Organisms.

Abstract

The report describes the methods and pressure chambers used in these investigations as well as the responses of planktonic organisms, achievement of deep retrieval capability, the relationships between pressure tolerance and the ecology or biotic capability of organisms, the relationship between size and pressure, and finally, the responses of a single species to pressure and temperature.
