Constitution of Alloys.
Abstract
A phased consolidation and updating of M. Hansen's 'Constitution of Binary Alloys' and its two supplements has been initiated. Consolidations involving the 310 systems for which the alphabedtized symbol pair falls in the range Ac-Ag through Au-Zr are presented in Volume 1; consolidations of miscellaneous systems for which the alphabetized symbol pair falls in the range B-Ba through Ge-Zr are presented in Volume 2. A program for the transference of the manual bibliographic file to computer format has been inaugurated and completed for the four-year period 1965-1968. Recommendations based on the five years' experience of the present program are made whereby the continuation of the operation of the Binary Metal and Metalloid Constitution Data Center can more effectively be responsive to users in the fields of metallurgy, materials science, chemistry, and physics.
