Viscosity of Gaseous Mixtures.

Abstract

The report gives a condensed description of the work completed. The objective of the undertaking was to create a broad, precise, and reliable experimental basis for the development of a theory of transport coefficients in gases and their mixtures. The main achievement of the work was: Experimentally - in the design and assembly of several high-precision viscometers and a thermal conductivity cell; Theoretically - in the formulation of a broad and very accurate law of corresponding states which makes it possible to calculate all low-density properties of simple gases and their mixtures in a thermodynamically consistent way.
