An Investigation of the Dynamic Response of Analog Fluid Amplifiers.

Abstract

The broad aim of the report is to provide information leading to an improved understanding of the steady state and dynamic performance of 'beam-deflection' fluid amplifiers. This program is theoretical and experimental. The theoretical part is concerned with the development of an adequate amplifier dynamic model to project the effects of loading and geometric design on response. The experimental part is concerned with an investigation of the pressure and flow recovery process and the spillover jet characteristics of fluid amplifier receivers. This information is needed to formulate the details of an adequate dynamic model.
