Large Scale Tactical Display.

Abstract

RONMENTALLY TAILORED TO A TACTICAL ENVIRONMENT. The model is being used by RADC for evaluation to determine the suitability of the hardware approach in meeting field requirements, and to provide additional data on the performance requirements of large scale tactical displays under typical system configurations. The project resulted in hardware and software compatible with the Display Evaluation Programming system for the CDC 8090 system at RADC. The hardware approach used solid state electronics and a projection CRT for image presentation. Performance of the system met the experimental model design requirements. Future designs of similar equipment should incorporate new technologies of memory storage such as MOS and other high intensity displays such as light valves to achieve the requirements of the ultimate design.
