Measurement of Vibrational Temperatures in a CO Laser,

Abstract

The possibility of obtaining high powers in the spectrum region of 5-6 micrometers with CO molecules causes interest in research on the mechanism for creation of an inversion in a CO laser. In this work the authors determine vibrational temperatures by the method of the inversion of spectral lines in the infrared region of the spectrum which automatically considers reabsorption and does not require the resolution of the vibrational-rotational spectrum.
