On the Calculation of the Monochromatic Absorption Coefficient in the Narrow Regions of the Oscillatory-Rotational Spectrum of H2O,

Abstract

In connection with the appearance of quantum generators of the optical range, the task of the calculation of the radiation absorption of lasers in the atmosphere becomes important. As is known, the basic absorbing component of the atmosphere in the infrared region of the spectrum is water vapor whose spectrum is characterized by the presence of a very large number of overlapped lines of absorption, which impedes the experimental analysis of the spectrum due to the finite resolution spectral instruments. This involves the detailed theoretical calculation of the monochromatic absorption coefficient for narrow spectral ranges. The report discusses the monochromatic absorption coefficient.
