The Volumetric Temperature Fields of an Internally-Cooled Rotating Blade,

Abstract

In order to obtain reliable data on the thermal condition of a continuous rotating gas-turbine blade when cooled by purging through passages between the blade root and the blade tip it is necessary to use volumetric electric models. A volumetric composite model (electro-conductive paper-grid of ohmic resistances) makes it possible to reveal such heat flows in designs which cannot be obtained on a two-dimensional models.
