Bullet Position Measuring System Feasibility Investigation.
Abstract
A limited investigation indicates that it may be feasible to develop a pulsed laser system capable of accurately measuring, in selected planes, the xyz coordinates of small caliber bullets fired from high rate-of-fire machine-guns. The system has the potential for automatic data recording and reading, automatic coordinate computation, and associating coordinate data with the rounds in the sequence with which they were fired.
