CAFe System Experiment at Fort Lewis, Washington

Abstract

The report concerns the Centralized Army Feeding (CAFe) system experiment conducted at Fort Lewis, Washington between 14 August - 29 October 1971, describing the overall experiment and summarizing the results obtained. As a result of the experiment, it was concluded that the new, modern food service system concept under evaluation can substantially increase customer satisfaction and significantly reduce operating costs.
