Dangerous Materials Study for the Packaging Evaluation Agency, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to critically review and improve the hazard classifications and packaging specifications of chemical materials listed in Air Force Manual 71-4. The items in Chapter 4 of AFM 71-4 ARE EVALUATED TO DETERMINE WHETHER THEY ARE JUSTIFIABLY GIVEN SINGLE DAGGER STATUS OR, IF NOT SO DESIGNATED, WHETHER THEY SHOULD BE. A general inconsistency is found in the use of single dagger status in most of the commodity groups. As a consequence packaging recommendations are made for all commodities, with special attention to those carrying single dagger status. (Author, modified-PL)
