The Rapidly Extensible Language (REL) Project Quarterly Progress Report,

Abstract

The REL System is aimed at providing a common computer environment for effectively handling many 'natural' languages. It is a total software system implemented on top of Operating System OS360 on an IBM 370 computer. The system is described in terms of seven areas: REL language processor; base languages; user language/data base packages; REL system languages; REL services; REL operating system; and Computer environment.
