On-Line Graphics with a FASPLOT Plotter.

Abstract

ATED DATA, CIRCUIT TEST DATA, ETC. FOR THE TIME-SHARED B5700 computer has been developed. An Omega-T Systems, Inc., FASPLOT graphic plotter and an in-house developed companion software package, REPLOT, are discussed. The plotter was originally chosen not only because of desirable operating features (high speed, 30 cps on-line operation, tiltable plotting surface, off-line, 30 cps plotting capability through tape input, simple command structure, etc.) but also bacause of its government wide availability through a GSA contract. The software, written in the FORTRAN IV language, is conversational and requires no special knowledge of computer programming. Inquires concerning the software package can be directed to the author.
