Method for Investigating the Properties of a Welded Joint,

Abstract

A method is descrbed for the investigation of the properties of a welded joint, primarily during electric slag welding, during which the sample in the process of welding is subjected to the influence of external forces in a transverse direction, characterized by the fact that for the purpose of decreasing the external forces required, in the process of welding the weld is continuously cut in a longitudinal direction up to the zone in which the metal has the required temperature and considerable plasticity.
