An Analysis of Data in the 2500-10,000 cps Region Recorded at Wolf Trap on the Mark 2 Acoustic Range,

Abstract

The acoustic pressure fields within the 2500-10,000 cps region of thirteen ships have been determined from data taken 15 June to 15 July 1942 at the Mk 2, 40-foot range at Wolf Trap. The information has been represented in the form of contour maps for the 2500-5000 and 5000-10,000 cps octaves and tabulations are made from these. An average normalized contour has been constructed for tankers.
