Abstract
Industrial technology depends on the utilization of the special physical properties of metals. The phenomenon of polymorphism in metals is in this category. The author discusses what is known about polymorphism. He also emphasizes the need for further research into the subject. He believes that polymorphous materials of many metals can be of great use to modern technology. (Author)
