Method of Manufacturing a Nonlamellar Cadmium Electrode of an Alkali Storage Battery (Sposob Izgotovleniya Bezlamelnogo Kadmiego Elektroda Shchelochnogo Akkumulyatora),

Abstract

The brief Russian patent describes a method of manufacturing nonlamellar cadmium electrode of an alkali storage battery by way of soaking a baked porous base in a solution of cadmium salt, alkali, and a solution of solar oil, for example in gasoline. In order to raise specific electric characteristics at negative temperatures and discharge by high current densities, soaking in solar oil is performed in its 3 to 6% solution immediately before assembling electrodes in the storage battery.
