CO-Laser. Results of Experimental Investigations,

Abstract

Until recently the most outstanding representatives of gas lasers have been the CO2- and Ar+-lasers, to which survey articles have been dedicated. At the present time, to these two lasers it is also possible to add the CO-laser, which with respect to power is comparable to the Ar+-laser, and in efficiency to the CO2-laser. The results of the developments and investigations of CO-lasers are presented in the first part of the proposed article. The second part will be dedicated to the inverse population formation mechanism in CO-lasers.
