Aspiration of Aerosol Samples from a Flow by Zero Sampling Tubes,

Abstract

Results are given for a study on one type of 'zero' aerosol sampling tube. Conditions are indicated under which the isokinetic coefficient changes very little with a change in the velocity of the impinging flow. The need to introduce a new correction coefficient which will consider the shape of the tube is explained. A method is proposed for calibrating zero sampling tubes. Formulas are recommended for selecting basic design parameters. (Author Modified Abstract)
