Structure and Properties of High-Modulus Alloys of Beryllium with Aluminum,

Abstract

Alloys on an aluminum-beryllium base with magnesium possess a valuable complex of physical and mechanical properties, of which the most important are their lightness and high modulus of elasticity, approaching that of pure beryllium. At the same time the number of the negative properties which hamper and limit the use of beryllium in construction are absent in the alloys.
