Computers and Social Choice,
Abstract
The report reviewed four areas where significant work is in progress in shaping the field and determining the direction of computers in society. These included the umbrella category of social problems, and the subsidiary areas of education, the individual, and regulatory issues. These areas are so vast and complex that only an impressionistic survey was possible, highlighting fundamental issues.
