15 Gigahertz Acoustics.
Abstract
The aim of the program is to conduct research on the use of bulk elastic waves for signal processing up to 15 GHz. Principles of detection of a bulk elastic wave anywhere along its path will be investigated. This will be implemented experimentally, at first in the 1-2 GHz range, to show feasibility of the concept of bulk wave detection using surface sensors, by designing and fabricating a pulse compression filter for operation in this frequency range.
