Labor-Management Relations in the Federal Service - a Changing Environment for Managers.

Abstract

A report is made on the special problems involved in labor union relations with the federal government. A review of the evolution of union-management relations covers a shift from the traditional viewpoint that government employees should not question management decisions, the difficulties caused by a continuous influx and turnover of new managers in military affairs, and the significance of an active white collar environment within the Department of Defense in particular.
