Toward a Generalized Measure of Effectiveness for Anti-Capacity Interdiction.

Abstract

In a limited war target system, the commander of friendly forces has a major problem in determining the 'best' use of available aircraft sorties. He requires a method to compare the potential results of sortie applications in each of the air roles. One method of comparison would be through the use of generalized measures of effectiveness. The objective of the thesis was to use several analytical tools for determining thruput in a limited war, capacitated, supply network in an effort to measure anti-capacity interdiction effectiveness.
