Range-Dependent Ray-Tracing Program,

Abstract

A range-dependent ray-tracing method based on doubly cubic spline interpolation of the sound speed data is described. The rays and intensity values are obtained by numerical integration of a simultaneous set of differential equations. Some examples, obtained with realistic data, are given. The computer program, written in Algol, is given as an appendix. (Author)
