A Controller for Random and Constant Amplitude Loading on Resonant and Electrohydraulic Fatigue Machines.

Abstract

A Schenck resonant fatigue machine is described which has been modified to apply Gaussian narrow band random loading. A detailed description is given of the control system which controls constant amplitude loads by varying the frequency of the machine excitation signal and controls random loads by varying the amplitude of the excitation signal. It is described how the controller has also been used to control random and constant amplitude loading on an Amsler Vibrophore and on electrohydraulic fatigue machines. (Author)
