Testing of Dacor R-4 Double Hose SCUBA Regulator.

Abstract

The military specifications for open circuit SCUBA regulators provide a mechanism by which commercial vendors may submit their regulator to the Navy Experimental Diving Unit for testing for possible approval for U. S. Navy use. Accordingly, one Dacor Corporation Model R-4 double hose SCUBA regulator was tested on 22 October 1969. The inhalation resistance of the regulator was found to exceed the maximum levels allowed for double hose SCUBA regulator by Mil-R-19558. The regulator was, therefore, not approved for U. S. Navy use. (Author)
