Data Processing System for the Standardization of a Neutron Calibrator.

Abstract

A computerized Data Processing System has been developed which processes, analyzes, and reports field data taken in the standardization of the AN/UDM-5 shipboard neutron calibrator that is used to calibrate a neutron detecting Radiac Set, the AN/PDR-70. The system processes data taken from a set of transfer standard instruments and calculates the dose rate for each measurement and also the averages and standard deviations of each set of measurements. A series of tables are printed listing the dose rates obtainable from the calibrator. The tables are dated and corrected for neutron source activity buildup. (Author)
