Image Edge Enhancement.

Abstract

A line scan method for controlling the edge sharpness of an image is presented. The procedures consists of sensing, comparing, and suitably changing the polarity of the signals, including derivative signals, supplied to a viewing monitor. For real time application, acceptable performance depends on the speed with which the polarity of signals can be compared and changed. (Author)
