Aerosol Model of the Atmosphere (Aerozolnaya Model Atmosfery),

Abstract

An attempt is made to construct an aerosol model based on the available experimental data regarding the vertical profile of aerosol attenuation, particle number concentration and size distribution at various heights, as well as indirect data regarding the ion content and electric conductivity of the air, using simple theoretical calculations and certain assumptions about distribution mechanism and sources of the atmospheric aerosol. For this purpose two questions must be considered: (1) sources of the aerosol and processes regulating its distribution in the atmosphere; (2) an analysis of the results of the experimental data obtained by various investigators.
