The Israeli Factor in Middle East Instability.
Abstract
The essay examines selected sociological, political, economic, and military factors in order to determine their significance in Israel's external stance and their implications for US policy in the Middle East. Information was gathered using a literature search. Problems in Israel are identified that relate to the social and economic absorption of its population, political instability, economic development, the international balance of payments, and security.
