Physician Strength of USAR Medical Units: An Analysis of the Problem.

Abstract

The purpose of the essay was to examine the problem of inadequate physician strength in organized units of the US Army Reserve, and to review the actions taken in attempts to solve this problem. The problem will be documented by a detailed analysis of strength reports of reserve medical personnel. The actions taken concerning this problem at all levels of the Department of Defense will be discussed. The control of reserve medical affairs and problems concerning training will be reviewed. Emphasis is placed primarily on written reports and records and information gathered by interview. (Author)
