POGO User's Manual: I. General Aids to Graphic Programming,

Abstract

The report is a user's manual for Rand's Programmer-Oriented Graphics Operation (POGO), a FORTRAN software package for forming and modifying visual images on a television screen by dynamic interaction between a computer console and a human operator ('interactive computer graphics'). POGO is based upon the Integrated Graphics System (IGS), a computer graphics software package for use with a variety of machines and machine languages, devised under contract with the Advanced Research Projects Agency at Rand in 1968. This report describes the use of POGO with the Rand Video Graphics Terminal, the Rand Tablet, and an IBM 360-65. (Author)
