Warm Fog Dispersal Techniques.

Abstract

Supercooled fogs have been cleared on an operational basis for a number of years, there is currently no comparable system for dissipating warm fogs. Vigorous research is therefore presently underway by both government and private agencies to develop a warm fog dispersal technique. The report summarizes the results of warm-fog dispersal studies to date at Navy Weather R SEARCH Facility, and elsewhere to the extent known. It does not purport to be a comprehensive study of all possible methods of warm fog dispersal, but those methods whcih have received the major emphasis in contemporary development are discussed in some detail.
