Engineering Fog-Modification Experiments by Computer Modelling.

Abstract

Field experiments by a number of public and private agencies have recently been moderately successful in producing warm-fog clearing. The paper describes a numerical model which provides quantitative simulation of a wide range of treatment materials and permits quantitative assessment of the results of such treatments. In addition, a variation of this model is described which simulates the dissipation of cold fog using ice-phase treatments.
