Research on Molecular Lasers

Abstract

Research concerning molecular and chemical lasers was conducted in the following areas: Measurement of V yield V and V yield R, T rates among hydrogen halide molecules and the temperature dependence of the energy transfer rates previously determined for HF, DF, HF/CO2 DF/CO2 Systems, Vibrational relaxation studies of CO2 in the pressure range 1-100 atm, Chemical laser studies of the reaction of atomic oxygen and acetylene, Computer modeling of the CS2-02 chemical laser system, Chemical laser studies of the reaction of C3O2 with oxygen, Experimental study of the relaxation of CO2(001) and HF(v=1) by collisions with H and F atoms, Studies of the influence of the influence of vibrational excitations on the reaction rate of atom exchange reactions e.g., HF(v) + D2 yield HD + DF.
