Study of the Intensity Time Variations of the Cosmic Radiation.

Abstract

The changes in the cosmic-ray intensity over the last solar-modulation cycle are presented using the data from the Mt. Washington and Durham neutron monitors. Observations on a particular event occurring January 26, 1968, are reported. Comparisons of the counting rates of neutron monitors, of the different neutron multiplicities at Durham and Mt. Washington, and of the Pioneer 8 cosmic-ray telescope indicated the form of the modulation was different for the 11-year variation and for Forbush decreases during 1968-1970.
