Prototype Moving Base Gravity Gradiometer

Abstract

The report covers the technical studies accomplished during the second six months of this contract to design and develop a prototype moving base gravity gradiometer with a sensitivity of better than 1 EU (10 to the minus 9th power/sq sec.) for a 10 sec integration time. The report contains specifications for a vibration isolation, alignment and leveling system (VIALS) for support of the gradiometers during use.
